Massif de la Colle Noire

Le Pradet

The Colle Noire massif, located in the commune of Le Pradet and Carqueiranne, is owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral and covers an area of 170 hectares, with its highest point at 294m.

Since 2006, it has been managed by the Toulon Provence Méditerranée metropolitan authority. The site is part of the Port Cros National Park and is classified as a ZNIEFF II. Located at the end of the Maures crystalline massif, the Colle Noire has very specific geological features that have favored the development of a rich and varied flora, including several protected species of priority interest. A network of footpaths allows you to discover a generous natural environment and exceptional panoramic views over the Giens peninsula and its double tombolo, the Iles d'Hyères, the Grand Rade and the Toulon mountains, Cap Sicié and the Bec de l'aigle, as well as the military heritage in situ, fortified and built according to Vauban techniques. Mountain biking is regulated and dogs must be kept on a leash.
