Tips for a day in Port-Cros

Port-Cros, the national park island, wilder than its big sister Porquerolles, is accessible by boat all year round from the port of Saint-Pierre in Hyères. After about 1 hour’s crossing, you disembark on Port-Cros. Around the charming little port, stock up on water and provisions before setting off to explore the island. Buy your ticket and park in Hyères to go to Port-Cros

Three free parking lots are available: quai des pêcheurs, parking de l’hippodrome and Arromanches. Please note that in very high season (especially August), access to the port can be difficult. Allow plenty of time before boarding time. Tickets for Port-Cros can be purchased online or directly from the TLV /TVM store. The boat is waiting for you behind the harbour master’s office on the main quay.

Port-Cros shuttle timetables from Hyères

Port-Cros is a nature destination accessible all year round from the port of Saint-Pierre in Hyères. Out of season, you can make the crossing once a day, departing at 9am and returning at 4:15pm, every day except Tuesday and Thursday. In summer, departures take place between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and returns from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the main TLV-TVM line. With your tickets in hand, come directly to the platform, about 30 minutes before boarding.

Buses and shuttles at your disposal

To reach the pier for Port-Cros, at Port Saint-Pierre in Hyères, take public transport: bus routes 63 or 65 of the Réseau Mistral network drop you off at the “Port Saint-Pierre” stop.

By car, from Toulon, take the A50 freeway, then the A570 towards Hyères. Follow the signs for the Giens peninsula and the airport. Before arriving at the port of Hyères, park in one of the free parking lots: quai des pêcheurs, parking de l’hippodrome, Arromanches and walk to the port (about 10 minutes) or take the free shuttle bus (summer only).
