The Hyères salt marshes
The Hyères salt marshes are spread over two wetland sites just a few kilometers apart, and are home to a flourishing biodiversity, with over 300 bird species and 300 plant varieties. These fragile spaces provide a stopover for migratory birds and shelter for sedentary ones. Explore the salt marshes on foot or by bike, along the Le pas du saunier path, a landscaped greenway, and take part in guided birdwatching tours scheduled throughout the year.

The seven outstanding gardens of Provence Méditerranée, from Hyères to Six-Fours-les-Plages, via La Valette and Toulon, are of cultural, aesthetic, historical and botanical interest. Inspired by Provence, planted with rare or exotic species, terraced or single-storey, they bring nature to the city.
Nature area of Plan de La Garde
A large natural wetland in an urban area between the communes of La Garde and Le Pradet, the Plan de La Garde is home to remarkable biodiversity. Visit the enriching exhibitions at the Maison Départementale du Plan and learn more about the flora and fauna around you. On foot or by bike, stroll along the landscaped paths, play hide-and-seek with the tall vegetation and birds of the pond, play in the areas dedicated to children and families, and be amazed by the giant sculptures.
