La Seyne-sur-Mer

Var's street art capital

A giant art gallery

More than just a seaside destination, La Seyne-sur-Mer is a city of many facets, between sea and forest, where art blends with history and culture. The street art trail around the harbour and in the town center, enriched each year by new works created as part of the Mini Fest, is a real invitation to discovery. Escape into the city streets, admire the frescoes and immerse yourself in the fascinating world ofurban art: each wall tells a story that will leave no one indifferent.

An open-air museum

If La Seyne-sur-Mer is resolutely becoming a privileged place for the expression of urban art, it is the fruit of the collaboration between the town and the Graphik Art association, which allows local and internationally renowned artists to express themselves on the facades of the historic centre. These works of street art shed light on the city and now form a veritable museum trail of some fifty committed works.

Renowned graffiti spot

La Seyne-sur-Mer is proud to boast works by world-renowned street artists on its walls. The faces of Hopare, considered the “French Banksy”, on impasse Verlaque, the animals of Dutch artist Dopie, near place Benoît Frachon, or Snake’s famous Marianne – third place in the Golden StreetArt competition in 2021 – on the port, stand alongside the frescoes of local or more intimate artists.

Minifest, the event for urban art lovers

Co-organized by the Graphik Art association and the town of La Seyne-sur-Mer, Minifest is an urban art festival held every July. The town provides the artists selected with all the tools they need to create their works on facades that have fallen into disuse.

You can meet the street artists, talk to them, take part in graffiti initiation workshops, attend guided tours of the street art trail…even as impressive new frescoes come to life before your very eyes.
