Instant boarding
Off to the summit of Mount Faron! Once you’ve collected your tickets, take your place in the cable car queue for boarding. The firecracker-red cabins with their ’50s look are a first invitation to travel…back in time. Once you’re on board, you’ll notice a porthole in the floor that’s likely to make you dizzy: will you dare to watch the landscape unfold beneath your feet?

Ascent with 360° view
On board, the cabin attendant makes sure everything is in order, you leave the departure station and start enjoying the view: it’s sublime and 360 degrees. The cable car winds its way between the hills. The contrast between limestone rocks and pine trees, then the harbor and sky merging into one, creates an incredible spectacle. It’s also the city that seems so close at hand, and yet so vast!
In the distance, you can see the Îles d’Or and the bay of Saint-Mandrier, as well as the hills that line the western Var coastline. In the cabin, the sensations jostle with each other, and you even find yourself looking through the floor porthole and playing at the places around you.
The cabin crew takes pleasure in commenting on the scenery and answering passengers’ questions with a touch of pride. Despite the short journey, you still have plenty of time to take photos and enjoy the view.
Once you’ve arrived, the choice is yours: picnic tables under the pine forest, a hiking trail, the entrance to the D-Day landings memorial or simply continue contemplating the panorama.

How do I get to the cable car?
By car from the town center, you can reach the cable car departure station at the foot of Mont Faron by road, following signs for “Toulon nord – mont Faron”.
By bus, take route 40 to the “Téléphérique” stop.
Tip: a pass on sale at the Tourist Office for €10 allows you to combine a round trip by cable car with your bus and boat trips.
