Every match that takes place there is an opportunity for Toulon fans to share a passionate atmosphere with their team. Immerse yourself in the Rouge et Noir culture: from the history of the stadium to the famous RCT players, in the fever of the stands or the secrecy behind the scenes, the temple of Toulon rugby opens its doors to you.

A little history

Built in 1919 thanks to the generosity of Toulon singer Félix Mayol, himself a rugby fan, the eponymous stadium is a true symbol of Toulon. Over the years, numerous renovations and extensions have brought the capacity to 15250 seats and 39 boxes. The Besagne temple has also played host to some of the biggest names in music and entertainment, including Bob Marley, Johnny Hallyday and Bernard Lavilliers. The names of the stands pay tribute to illustrious RCT players: Bonnus, Lafontan, Finale and Delangre.

Dream team and glorious track record

Since its birth in 1908, legendary players, both national and international, have played for the Lily of the Valley XV. From Marcel Bodrero – author of the fans’ anthem “Pilou-Pilou” – to Jonny Wilkinson, André Herrero, Eric Champ, Joe Van Niekerk and Tana Umaga, many illustrious names complete the Red and Black club’s pantheon. With their first Brennus Shield lifted in 1931, the RCT, four-time French and European champions, have been at the top of the rankings season after season.

How to get to Stade Mayol

By car, from the east or west entrances to the town, follow signs for “Centre-ville – Le port”.
The stadium is at the end of Avenue de la République: park in the port parking lot between the Gare Maritime and Quai du Petit Rang, or in the Q-Park “Mayol ” and “Lafayette” underground parking lots behind the port.

By bus, except on match days, the “Mayol” stop will drop you off just a few steps from the stadium. It is served by Mistral lines U, 3, 6, 15, 23, 40 and BN2. On match days, the area around the stadium is closed to traffic. Contact the Tourist Office for the nearest stops.
