Our advice
Enjoy free parking all year round at the Mourillon beach parking lot. Its 1300 secure spaces are accessible from the corniche du littoral Frédéric Mistral. The parking lot’s location makes it easy to walk to the heart of Mourillon village. It’s also the starting point for your seaside stroll.
By bus line 3 serves Le Mourillon village and the beaches. Line 3 also operates at night from Thursday to Saturday evening inclusive.
Village atmosphere
Immersion in Mourillon begins with a stroll through the market.
Give in to temptation: stalls of olives, tapenade and anchoïade, zucchini fritters and cade* inspire your aperitif menu.
Opposite the market, continue along Rue Lamalgue, pedestrianized every Sunday morning.
Take a stroll through the food shops – here a cheesemonger, baker or butcher, there an Italian delicatessen or a delicatessen – and the pleasure begins with the sight of their windows!
Once you’ve filled your basket with goodies, sit down on a terrace in one of the local squares and soak up the atmosphere: smiles, lively conversation and a southern accent give your morning a feeling of completeness.

Seaside stroll
Leave the gentle hustle and bustle of the village behind and, in just a few minutes on foot, head for the coast. The beauty of the area, beyond its charming Provencal villas, blooming with jasmine and bougainvillea, lies in the prospect of a sea view around every corner. As you approach the beaches, the iodized air fills your lungs. The sun accompanies your stroll along the coves of Mourillonne and the landscaped gardens that line them.
Following on from the beaches and Fort Saint-Louis to the west, take the customs path.
Fully developed, it overlooks discreet little coves and winds through elegant villas, set against a backdrop of cliffside pines.
You’ll then reach La Mitre beach and its famous elephant-foot rock, before continuing along the water’s edge to Pipady beach, at the foot of the Royal Tower.
To the east of the Mourillon beaches, the coastal path winds its way towards Anse Méjean.
The walk offers sublime views: the sea as far as the eye can see, shaded by umbrella pines and cork oaks, driven by the elements.
With the ebb and flow of the waves as background music, you make your way from cove to cove.
A section of the path, from the Cap Brun residence to the Chemin de la Batterie Basse staircase, is closed to pedestrian traffic.
Don’t worry: a signposted bypass route has been provided.
